Severe RTA & Head Trauma
A 4-year-old boy fully recovered from a severe road traffic accident involving a cervical spine injury and prolonged mechanical ventilation.
Refractory SVT & Myocarditis
A 4-month-old infant referred from a tier-two city survived a critical drop in ejection fraction and malignant rhythms (SVT, VT, VF), requiring 11 electrical cardioversions and multi-drug regimens. He now attends normal school with normal cardiac function.
Phenytoin Toxicity & CRRT
A 3-year-old boy in refractory status epilepticus from phenytoin toxicity was successfully treated using mechanical ventilation and CRRT with high-flux HF 20 filters. He has fully recovered, and his father permanently relocated from abroad to support his education.
70% Electrical Burns
A 10-year-old boy presenting with exposed thoracic organs and upper limb compartment syndrome recovered after an extended PICU stay and multiple reconstructive surgeries. He is now actively playing football.
Complex Thoraco-Abdominal Neuroblastoma
A child presenting with malignant hypertension and refractory arrhythmias due to a massive tumor invading the kidney and heart wall underwent chemotherapy downstaging followed by complete surgical excision. Follow-up PET scans show zero residual disease.
Adulterated Alcohol Outbreak
A cluster of 8 to 10 pediatric cases presenting with toxic encephalopathy and seizures was successfully cured due to rapid clinical suspicion and the timely deployment of targeted antidotes.
Air Medevac for Myocarditis
A 5-month-old infant in critical cardiogenic shock was airlifted from Patna, stabilized with prolonged advanced inotropic support, and continues to thrive.
Airway Foreign Body with ECMO Standby
A 10-month-old girl requiring CPR twice due to an obstructive, moving airway foreign body was successfully managed via emergency removal with ECMO backup, recovering completely within 48 hours.
Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis
A 3-year-old girl with persistent pneumonia was diagnosed early and underwent whole lung lavage. As double lumen ET tubes aren't available for this age group, the expert anesthesia, pulmonology, and pediatric critical care team used a unique technique (angio cath and NG tube) to perform the lavage successfully without ECMO/CPB backup. She recovered fully and now attends school regularly.
